ITSW Student’s Trilingual Educational Path

From Nursery to Primary School – How ITSW Supports a Child’s Comprehensive Development

At ITSW, we believe that education is a process that begins at an early age and develops harmoniously through each subsequent stage. Our trilingual educational path is designed to support children not only linguistically but also emotionally, socially, cognitively, and academically – from preschool to middle school.

Thanks to a coherent curriculum taught in three languages – English, Polish, and one of the following: French, Spanish, Chinese, or Japanese – children learn to think globally, develop their passions, and navigate a multicultural world with ease.

Each stage – from preschool, kindergarten, and the next grades of primary and middle school – is delivered by qualified, international staff. Native-speaking teachers and educational specialists work according to the highest global standards, utilizing the OPOL method, language immersion, and the STEAM approach. The result? Students acquire trilingual skills, as well as 21st-century competencies – creativity, critical thinking, and the readiness to act in any cultural context.

ITSW Nursery – the First Step Towards Trilingualism

At ITSW, we believe that the foundations of language education are laid from the first months of life. Our nursery for children aged 1–3 is a place of complete language immersion, where each child is exposed to three languages from the very first days of school. We rely on the OPOL (One Person, One Language) method, in which each teacher consistently uses one language, building a natural bond and a communicative environment with the child.

It is during this period – according to research on early brain neuroplasticity – that children absorb language most effectively. By choosing a third language (French, Spanish, Chinese, or Japanese), parents can tailor their child’s language path to their vision of education and future. The ITSW nursery is a safe space where children develop not only language but also independence, relationships, and a sense of emotional stability.

Preschool and Grades 1–3 – Discovering the World in the Spirit of Reggio Emilia

Preschool education at ITSW is based on a combination of a trilingual program and the Reggio Emilia philosophy—an approach that views the child as an active participant in the learning process. Children aged 3 to 6 learn simultaneously in three languages: Polish, English, and a selected third language (French, Spanish, Chinese, or Japanese). Three different teachers work together on shared projects, daily routines, and thematic activities, fostering children’s natural curiosity, independence, and joy of learning.

The curriculum is delivered in an interdisciplinary way—natural sciences, mathematics, art, and physical education are taught in different languages, making language an integral part of discovering the world. The entire program is inspired by the principles of Reggio Emilia: children learn through action, observation, and dialogue, while the teacher acts as a partner and guide.

This is a time when the foundations of not only academic education but also social and emotional development are formed—within an environment rich in languages, cultural diversity, and respect for each child’s individuality.

Trilingual Subjects at ITSW – Learning Through Languages, Not Just Learning Languages

At ITSW, languages are not just a goal, but above all a tool for acquiring knowledge in various fields. Thanks to the trilingual approach, students learn subjects – such as mathematics, natural sciences, art, and computer science – in different languages, which develops not only linguistic competences but also logical and creative thinking. We place particular emphasis on STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics), which is taught in English, with elements in the native languages and the third language of instruction.

Thanks to this method, students acquire knowledge in three languages simultaneously – English, Polish, and one of the following: French, Spanish, Chinese, or Japanese. This educational model supports the development of intercultural competences and prepares students for learning in both Polish and international education systems.

Choosing a High School – How ITSW Prepares Students for Global Education

ITSW supports students in individually discovering their passions, aptitudes, and educational paths. Thanks to a diverse and demanding curriculum in three languages, our students are perfectly prepared to continue their studies in both local and international secondary schools. Individualized language profiles, staff support, and preparation for exams such as the Polish eighth-grade exam, Cambridge Checkpoint, and IGCSE give them an advantage regardless of their chosen path.

The statistics speak for themselves: approximately 50% of our students go to local private or public schools, 25% continue their studies in international schools, and the remaining 25% choose boarding schools abroad. This is a proof of the effectiveness of our model in preparing students for education worldwide.
