Trilingual Preschool in Warsaw – Discovering the World and Developing Skills Every Day
ITSW is an international, trilingual preschool in Warsaw, where language learning goes hand in hand with the development of preschool skills. Children learn through play, care and daily activities conducted in the target languages: English, Polish, Spanish or French or Chinese or Japanese.
Our multilingual preschool prepares children for continuing their education in various school systems—British, American, French, Finnish, Spanish, International IB, or Polish—or in the trilingual ITSW system. This gives children the best start to their further education.

Curriculum at the ITSW Trilingual Preschool in Warsaw
The curriculum at our trilingual preschool in Warsaw is a journey through multilingual, experiential projects. This approach fosters natural curiosity, builds a sense of agency, and develops children’s creativity.
What Areas of Development Does The Program Cover?
Projects cover math, science, music, art, language, social skills, and the development of gross and fine motor skills. We individualize the teaching process so that each child can acquire the knowledge and skills needed to move on to the next stage of education.
How Do We Prepare Children for Primary School?
The multicultural and multilingual ITSW program prepares children in preschool to be global citizens—open to others, willing to reflect and ask questions, persistent, and guided by a sense of justice, ethics, and empathy.
In preschool, students develop key academic skills—proper writing grip, hand-eye coordination, using scissors, recognizing letters, numbers, sounds, shapes, and colors.
Repeated rituals, a clear daily structure, and modeling behavior prepare children for the important transition of starting school.
Here, they acquire their first social skills and group cooperation: sharing and waiting for their turn, they strengthen their ability to express and control emotions, developing a sense of self-awareness and perseverance

Nursery through preschool education at ITSW is aligned with children’s developmental stages, spiraling into the educational cycle from nursery to the final years of middle school, incorporating play into the learning process and aiming to develop skills necessary for the next stages of education.
The ITSW preschool program is based on carefully planned, monthly thematic blocks, implemented simultaneously in three languages. Each topic is more than just a classroom activity—it’s a full-fledged educational adventure, enriched with inspiring trips, engaging workshops, and field projects conducted outside the preschool. Thanks to this approach children learn through experience, discovery, and real-world contact with their surroundings.

A Preschool Where We Nurture Extracurricular Skills
At ITSW, we create an educational environment inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophy—an approach that wholeheartedly recognizes that the space a child has a real influence on becomes their ‘second teacher.’ This is why our interiors are not sterilely perfect or artificially idealized. They live—changing, breathing, and evolving together with the children.
Sometimes, creative, artistic chaos reigns within—and that’s okay. This is where creativity, a sense of agency, shared responsibility, and true autonomy are born. Children are not simply recipients of ready-made solutions. They become active partners, co-creators of a space that tells their stories and supports their development every day.
At ITSW, we celebrate diversity and teach children that it is a true strength. Our students proudly demonstrate how many cultures, languages, and experiences come together in one community. This unique blend is reflected in the children’s ability to collaborate, in children’s openness to others and extraordinary artistic and musical talents. Each year, young artists perform on a professional stage during a spectacular Xmas Show, and in the spring, they delight audiences during the Culture and Language Festivals, presenting the countries and languages they are learning. These are unforgettable events that build self-confidence, pride, and a truly international spirit at ITSW.

The socio-emotional program and the development of autonomy are complemented by an annual two-day field trip for five-year-olds (preschoolers). This is the first, safe step towards independence – children travel with their peers, learn to cooperate, regulate emotions, and build self-confidence in a new environment, supported by teachers fully prepared logistically and emotionally.

The Place of Languages in Preschool
At the trilingual ITSW preschool, language is more than a communication tool—it becomes a natural way to acquire knowledge and build social, academic, and cultural competencies. Thanks to the immersion method and the OPOL (One Person – One Language) principles, children experience languages daily in a way that closely resembles how they learn their native language. Daily immersion in languages in a friendly, stimulating, and multicultural atmosphere guarantees a process of developing linguistic, social, and academic skills that is as natural as possible.
What Is the Language Immersion at ITSW Preschool?
Language immersion is much more than just language learning—it’s a natural immersion in language and culture, thanks to language immersion children learn the same way they acquire their native language: through listening, observation, action, and authentic relationships. Language becomes an everyday reality for them, not a school subject.
At ITSW, children are surrounded by languages throughout the day. Classes are conducted exclusively in the target languages, creating an environment that closely resembles natural language environments. Teachers communicate with children consistently in their native language, according to the OPOL method, and language accompanies all activities—from free play, through projects and artistic activities, to movement, music, and academic activities.
For children, language becomes a tool for discovering the world: they learn new concepts, solve problems, collaborate, and express emotions in the very language they are acquiring. This vivid, intensive experience makes learning fast, effective, and full of joy.
That’s why language immersion is the most effective method for developing trilingualism in young children. In our trilingual preschool, we use it every day—with Visible, spectacular effects.

What If My Child Didn’t Start in The Nursery?…
If childen don’t attend nursery before the age of 3 and aren’t immersed in a foreign language from very early stage, they learn a second or third language in a way called consecutive learning between the ages of 3 and 6 . This means that the child still acquires the language spontaneously, but filters it through the subconscious knowledge of their native language.
Can a Preschooler Still Quickly Master a New Language?
Yes! Children who join our trilingual preschool feel comfortable with us quite quickly and begin to communicate fluently in new languages. The adaptation process may take a little longer, but in the warm, supportive, and multicultural environment of ITSW, children gain motivation, joy, and a natural curiosity for learning languages.
In our trilingual, private multilingual preschool in Warsaw, every child—regardless of when they started—can become citizen of the world.
What If My Child Did Not Attend Preschool
In first grade, the language is not taught as a “foreign” language, but rather used as a natural tool for communication and learning. Therefore, our trilingual primary school accepts children who have a conversational level of English or French or Spanish or Chinese, or Japanese. This allows students to participate freely in classes and develop academic skills in a multilingual environment.

Will My Child Thrive in the ITSW Trilingual Environment?
Don’t worry. Children who have previously been exposed to a system of intentional bilingualism, for example, in combination with English cherish a great starting point for developing language skills in the trilingual ITSW preschool and primary school in Warsaw.
