Admission to Grades 7-8 at ITSW—What is the Process Like and How do I Join?

In grades 7-8, students are already working at an advanced level of language—language becomes a tool for completing projects, learning science and humanities subjects, and preparing for key exams. To fully benefit from the program, we accept students in grades 7-8 who:

  • are fluent in one of the languages ​​of education (English, French, Spanish, Chinese, Japanese, or Polish),
  • are able to function in a multilingual environment,
  • are ready for greater independence, analysis, and critical thinking,
  • want to prepare for final exams—Eighth Grade, Checkpoint, or Cambridge IGCSE (depending on the chosen educational path).

At this stage of education, there is no longer enough time to master the language from scratch, so early exposure to one of the languages ​​of education, which will be chosen as the student’s primary language, is crucial.

Fees and Enrollment Process for Grades 7–8 at ITSW

Tuition includes:

  • Teaching of subjects in several languages by native-speaking teachers
  • Preparation for national and international exams (Checkpoint, IGCSE, eighth-grade exam)
  • Teaching materials and digital resources
  • Educational projects, volunteering, and activities related to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
  • An intensive Language Support program, supporting the development of the language of education where needed
  • Extracurricular activities to develop academic, artistic, and social talents
  • Afternoon workshops preparing for exams and subject competitions

FAQ: Who is Accepted into Grades 7–8 of ITSW?

Can my children join grades 7-8 if they don’t know all the languages?

Yes. We only require fluency in one of the languages ​​of instruction (English, French, Spanish, Chinese, or Japanese). Other languages ​​are developed through natural immersion.

Does a child need to have advanced language skills?

Yes — at least one language of instruction should be proficient enough for academic work. A conversational level is sufficient for other languages. Students receive intensive support through the Language Support program.

Can I start learning in a language of instruction from scratch in grades 7-8?

Unfortunately, no. At this stage, there isn’t enough time to master a language of instruction from scratch, so early exposure to one of the ITSW languages ​​of instruction is crucial. However, it is possible to start learning a new language as a subject.

What qualities should a student in grades 7-8 possess?

The student should:

  • function well in a multilingual environment,
  • be ready for independence and critical thinking,
  • be willing to prepare for the following exams: 8th grade, Checkpoint, or IGCSE.

After completing the form, we schedule a meeting to determine the student’s primary language and the best exam path, we invite the student for a trial day and then we suggest specific learning paths.
