Saturday for Toddlers Is Back — Let the Language Adventure Begin!

A Gateway to Multilingual Discovery for the Youngest Learners

We are delighted to announce that our beloved Saturday for Toddlers program is back—and it’s bigger, brighter, and even more inspiring!

Following an amazing start, we’re once again opening our doors to children born in 2023 and 2024 and their parents, inviting them to join us every Saturday until the end of June for an unforgettable language experience.

These joyful mornings are all about hands-on fun, curiosity, and connection. Through music, art, storytelling, and movement, toddlers are gently immersed in the melodies and rhythms of four world languages—Spanish 🇪🇸, French 🇫🇷, Chinese 🇨🇳, and Japanese 🇯🇵. These are not just classes—they’re immersive play-based sessions led by warm, native-speaking educators who specialize in early childhood language development.

Why Early Language Immersion Matters More Than Ever

Science consistently supports what educators see every day: the first years of a child’s life are crucial for language development. A toddler’s brain is highly adaptable, forming thousands of new neural connections every second. During this time, they are naturally wired to absorb the patterns and sounds of language without conscious effort. This period of extraordinary neuroplasticity makes early exposure to languages not only possible but powerful.

The benefits of early language immersion are far-reaching:

  • Faster and more intuitive language acquisition
  • Enhanced cognitive flexibility and critical thinking
  • Improved memory and attention control
  • A more profound cultural appreciation and global mindset
  • Greater emotional sensitivity and communication skills

And perhaps most importantly, early learners don’t yet feel self-conscious about making mistakes. They engage with enthusiasm and curiosity, creating strong emotional connections with the language—an essential element in long-term retention.

Why Include Asian Languages Like Japanese and Chinese?

While many parents are familiar with the benefits of European language immersion, Asian languages like Chinese and Japanese offer even more unique brain-boosting opportunities. Both are tonal (especially Chinese), rely on complex writing systems, and use entirely different grammatical structures from English or Polish. This difference challenges the brain in new ways and strengthens areas associated with memory, pattern recognition, and auditory processing.

By introducing these languages during the earliest years—when pronunciation and sound recognition are most naturally acquired—children gain a lifelong advantage in mastering them.

As shared in one of our blog posts on language development at ITSW:

“Our OPOL (One Person, One Language) method ensures clear, consistent exposure to each language from native speakers, which supports natural, balanced multilingual growth.”

A Warm, Supportive Space for Your Little One

At Saturday for Toddlers, learning happens through joyful discovery. Every week, our classrooms come alive with the sounds of new words, the beat of music from around the world, and the laughter of children connecting through play. The environment is designed to make toddlers feel safe, encouraged, and excited to learn—without pressure or performance expectations.

Parents are welcome too! These sessions are a beautiful way for families to bond, learn together, and become part of a community that values language, diversity, and early development.

Why Waiting Might Mean Missing Out

While anyone can learn a new language later in life, doing so becomes increasingly difficult. As children grow older, they become more self-aware, more cautious about making mistakes, and less receptive to unfamiliar sounds. Young children, on the other hand, learn through joy. Starting now—during this golden window—sets them on a path where multilingualism is second nature.
